In spite of the general economic malaise, some businesses are bucking the trend of gloom and despondency.  Surrey based reseller Shift F7 today announced it is celebrating a record turnover for FY11/12 of £10.6 million, an increase of 25% on the previous year.

With assistance from its strategic vendors and suppliers the company has focussed on new marketing initiatives which have contributed to the expansion of its existing solid customer base.  As well as selling its traditional server and storage solutions the company has also developed and successfully introduced its Operational Expense Management Service (OPEX).  The managed service frees up clients’ IT procurement resources allowing them to concentrate on higher cost, business critical savings elsewhere.  Clients reported that improvements made by Shift F7 including consolidating supplier databases and identifying and negotiating with new suppliers had delivered significant time and financial savings with no additional headcount.
